Greetings everyone. Again it has been too long since we put anything here. We will try to do better!
We are here in Italy and next week is Thanksgiving, yet here there is nothing to remind us of this huge holiday that takes over the States next week. There are no brown and orange decorations with pilgrims and turkeys on the edges, no, just everyday life here in Bari. In a way it is sad, but there are some neat things that will happen next week also.
We get to go to Adam's class to explain to his fourth grade classmates what Thanksgiving is all about for us Americans. It is a good opportunity for us and we are excited about it. We will also take the boys out of school on Thursday as we have the last two years to give them a day off and to remind them a little of their home culture.
In December we will have a "Thanksgiving Day" meal for members of the church and many friends from the community. It will again be an opportunity to explain a little more about who we are and what this holiday means to us as Americans and also as Christians.
Blessings to you all as you celebrate with family and friends this year and we pray that the Joy of Christ would be with you all!
